this a test blog post from my windows mobile. if this works out properly I don’t see why people won’t be converging to a mobile device for blogging. it is such a comfort to keep a small device with you which you take out anytime to post whatver random thoughts you have in your mind.
even ultrpaortable portable laptops are not so convinient. you can eveb type while you are walking with mobile.
in future applications developers will target primarily mobile device platforms.
desktops are going to extinct :p

There’s a site which asks a series of questions and then suggests you a linux distribution. Find the link to the site here.

I took some time out of “busy” schedule to try out the site, and after taking much pain to answer all the questions, the site suggested me this - ” Sorry, we were not able to find any matches for you”.

Well, as i see the site had lot of distros like, Fedora Core, Mandriva, OpenSuSE, Debian, MEPIS, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Linspire, Xandros, PCLinuxOS, Yellowdog Linux, Gentoo, Slackware, Ark Linux, Arch Linux, Foresight Linux, Freespire, Zenwal to suggest from. But it didn’t find any match to my preferences. So, either their algorithm is not good, or they are temporary out of service. I am in no mood to try and answer all those questions again to get me a distro suggestion. I would rather blog about this.

Please tell me if the site suggests a distribution for you. I may get motivation to try it out again.

Just in case, one would like to know, I am currently using WindowsXP Pro with cygwin installed and planning to install Linux (Ubuntu 7.04 or Fedora 6) soon.

Tech2.com is the tv18network service, the one which runs the popular news site ibnlive.comTech2 contains wide variety of Technology News, Reviews and Articles. These are updated daily and the content is really good. There is a wide veriety of devices reviewed daily and is a must visit site for any technology or gadgets lover. There’s something for the gamers too.

I have been trying out all the popular blog service providers, and till now I have found WordPress to be one of the best option available for people looking for a blogging service solution. It is very simple to use and easy to maintain also providing advanced blog management options. Assistance provided to the blogging through JavaScript and AJAX is also helpful and fast. I also like the blog stats provided by WordPress which gives quite detailed statistics in nice graphical form.

Just to tell which all blog service I explored till now apart from WordPress, then there are blogger.com, livejournal.com, vox.com and multiply.com which i tried but none of them actually made my blogging experience enjoyful. Although I like the service provided by Vox, but it is in quite early stage of development and may be in future will have more features added to it. Currently I will stick to blogging on WordPress unit there is a break-through in blogging services influencing me to move to another service.

A few words about me

This is supposed to be an introductory blog so I will also include some information of myself. As it is evident, my name is Kanishk Kunal. I am doing B.Tech in the filed of Information and Communication Technology from DA-IICT, Gandhinagar, India. I basically blog about various stuffs related with Programming and Technical Content. Occasionally I also blog about Gaming and some of my personal thoughts.
